Supplier Diversity — Progressive Procurement Programme
100 Businesses, 10 Regions, 25 Industries
We provided project management and business coaching alongside our partners to deliver Te Puni Kōkiri’s targeted and highly impactful Progressive Procurement programme.
This kaupapa was designed to increase the diversity of government suppliers of goods and services, ultimately driving long-term behavioural change across both agencies and businesses. The programme focused on strengthening systems, processes, and market positioning to help Māori and diverse-owned businesses secure more opportunities.
Key outcomes included:
- Over $40 million in contracts won by participating businesses.
- Over 100 pakihi supported, with many accepted onto All-of-Government Supplier Panels, from construction to media, boosting supplier diversity and inclusion.
- Enhanced procurement capability within government agencies, enabling them to organise large-scale programmes of work and successfully engage diverse suppliers.
By improving procurement practices and building capability on both sides, this work has laid the foundation for more inclusive, sustainable supply chains across Aotearoa.
